Our Story
Talkingbirth was founded in 2020 by two Midwives, passionate to make a difference to outcomes for women and their families.
Having worked together in the private and public sector of maternity services in Australia and the United Kingdom, Talkingbirth was founded on the understanding that maternity services could be enhanced for women and their families and health outcomes improved for mothers and babies with access to evidence-based information and education outlining options, outcomes and uncertainties.
The solution is Talkingbirth. A digital maternity pathway available on the market, co-designed with women and built by clinicians working in maternity services, who understand the needs of health professionals and women and their families as they navigate pregnancy care. Hannah has experience in the corporate sector and more recently, in the international development and aid field, having worked in roles in Australia, UK, US and South Pacific.
During that time, Hannah has developed a passion for equitable healthcare access for women.
Hannah brings her experience and skills to the development of Talkingbirth, with the aim to see it reach its full potential.
Dr Nataša Lazarević

Natasa is passionate about the intersection of digital health, A.I. and human centered design.
Natasa’s doctoral research focused on digital health and bioinformatics, specifically in developing cutting-edge solutions for self-monitoring and remote monitoring during pregnancy.
Natasa’s expertise as part of the Talkingbirth team will span the entire innovation lifecycle of our product, from ideation to implementation.
